About the position

The Sales Operations Manager at Align Communications is responsible for overseeing the sales operations within the Data Center Solutions division. This role involves managing day-to-day sales support operations, collaborating with various internal teams, and ensuring efficient workflow to meet customer demands. The ideal candidate will possess a multifaceted skill set, be entrepreneurial, and have a strong background in data center operations, supply chain management, and team leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises sales operations including growth objectives, executing department goals and special projects.
  • Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements.
  • Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability.
  • Daily onsite management of the local Plano, TX team including purchasing, pricing, procurement, and document control.
  • Look for opportunities to expand where they add value, including inventory tracking and warehouse management.
  • Maintain ongoing contact with all parties involved to ensure completeness and correctness of shipping documentation and quality control inspections.
  • Work closely with Legal, Compliance, and Accounting departments to track issues and transactions.
  • Support special projects and various business opportunities related to Data Center Solutions.
  • Effectively communicate throughout the Data Center Solutions Line of Business and support projects and initiatives as needed.
  • Consult with internal customers to improve logistics processes and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree - B.S. in Business, Engineering, Logistics, or a comparable field preferred.
  • Five to ten years of progressive responsibility in sales operations, sales support, and/or supply chain management.
  • Familiarity with the Data Center Industry.
  • Motivated, entrepreneurial, and an out-of-the-box thinker.
  • Experience in warehouse management and procurement is a plus.
  • Proven team management experience.
  • Integrated Rack Build Experience.
  • Understanding of general finance & budgeting, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash-flow management is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong Excel and MS Office skills are required.
