About the position

The Sales Operations Manager at Far Niente Wine Estates plays a crucial role in supporting the wholesale sales team by providing actionable insights through analysis and reporting. This position is integral to the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes, ensuring accurate systems reporting and synthesizing market insights for internal stakeholders. The role requires a proactive approach to conducting analyses that drive business improvements and support strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Supports budgeting, forecasting and long-range plan processes through demand planning for the Wholesale teams.
  • Ensures all systems reporting is accurate and actionable.
  • Assists in obtaining, synthesizing, and sharing market and category insights to internal stakeholders.
  • Monitors and reports on the effectiveness of programs with detailed analysis and recommendations for improvements, utilizing both internal and external data.
  • Conducts comprehensive analysis of profitability by sub-channel and consumer segmentation.
  • Provides support for process improvement and strategic initiatives as needed.
  • Proactively conducts ad hoc analysis to generate insights, answer specific questions, raise issues, and provide ideas for business improvement.
  • Provides support for monthly/quarterly/annual reporting at the distributor level with Region Managers and at the Board level with the EVP of Sales.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or Business-related discipline.
  • 4 years of previous experience.
  • Ability to work independently as well as a member of a highly functioning team.
  • Strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
