About the position

The Sales Operations Manager at Cohesive will play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing the sales function within the organization. This position is designed to ensure the efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance of the sales team while providing critical insights to inform business strategy and operations. The Sales Operations Manager will work closely with sales leadership, marketing, finance, and other key stakeholders to drive sales success and enhance the overall performance of the sales function. This role is highly collaborative and requires a strong focus on data accuracy and process optimization. In this position, the Sales Operations Manager will be responsible for developing organizational goals in conjunction with sales leadership, measuring and evaluating sales performance, and optimizing sales processes and metrics. A key aspect of the role will involve ensuring the accuracy of CRM data and compliance with updates, as well as running and refining existing reports and dashboards to improve data quality and integrity. The manager will prepare comprehensive sales reports, analyses, and presentations for leadership, providing regular observations of trends along with recommended actions. Additionally, the Sales Operations Manager will lead initiatives aimed at improving sales performance and scalability, collect and organize sales collateral and marketing materials, and identify training materials and resources for the sales team. Onboarding training for new sales colleagues will also be a critical responsibility, along with providing support for the proposal approval process and handling escalations as necessary. This role may include managing direct reports depending on the candidate's skills and aspirations, as well as the evolving needs of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Work with sales leadership to develop organizational goals
  • Measure and evaluate sales performance and pipeline activity
  • Develop and optimize sales processes and metrics
  • Ensure the accuracy of CRM data and compliance with CRM updates
  • Run and refine existing reports and dashboards to continuously improve data quality and integrity
  • Prepare sales reports, analyses, and presentations for leadership
  • Provide regular and timely observations of trends with recommended actions and reporting
  • Lead assigned initiatives that improve sales performance and scalability
  • Collect and organize sales collateral and marketing materials
  • Identify and organize product and sales training materials, research reports, and useful references for the sales team
  • Provide onboarding training for new sales colleagues
  • Provide support for proposal approval process and escalations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
  • 5+ years of sales operations experience (preferably in professional services)
  • Very high written and verbal communication skills - upstream and peer to peer
  • Skilled at working collaboratively as well as influencing peers and leadership
  • Ability to develop and implement processes
  • Experienced in creating sales reports, dashboards and analyzing trends
  • Experience creating processes in IBM Blueworks is useful
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Experience managing sales automation and CRM systems (HubSpot, Salesforce or similar CRM)
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams
  • Personnel management experience desirable
