About the position

The Sales Operations Manager at Savvas Learning Company is responsible for leading a team of Sales Operations Specialists and supporting Sales Directors and Regional Vice Presidents in adoption states. This role involves driving sales, managing customer interactions, and ensuring efficient processing of orders and quotes. The manager will also oversee project management tasks and maintain communication with various internal teams to resolve customer issues effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as leader of the Sales Operations team, providing consistent solutions to questions or issues regarding orders, customer service, proposals, and related tasks.
  • Lead and manage quote creation using Salesforce and Microsoft Excel, adhering to all Finance, Business, and System policies.
  • Input sample orders for customers, ensuring timely delivery for review.
  • Manage quotes, samples, folder creation, and other projects for sales teams to meet deadlines and quality demands.
  • Respond to sales manager and customer inquiries via phone and email, facilitating requests and resolving escalated issues.
  • Create, assemble, package, and ship marketing and product folders to support sales campaigns.
  • Manage customer-facing workbook, worktext, and novels sites, communicating known issues to Product Management teams.
  • Review escalated scenarios or issues, identifying solutions and providing directions to resolve them.
  • Compile informational analysis and database projects as needed.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and commitment to excellence, interacting effectively with all levels of management.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain procedures, establishing best practices and meeting team goals.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of customer service experience and/or sales operations/administration related experience required.
  • Management experience highly preferred or 4+ years of in-depth level experience as a team leader.
  • Outstanding communication skills including verbal, written, and active listening.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities and meet critical deadlines.
  • Ability to problem solve through thorough research and analytical skills.
  • Microsoft Excel skills are required; Salesforce, Google Suite, and SAP experience is highly preferred.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of work and multiple priorities in a demanding environment.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality are critical to successful performance in this role.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes weighing at least 35 lbs.
