About the position

The Sales Operations Manager at TT Electronics is responsible for leading teams focused on pricing, quoting, and customer service. This role involves creating best practices in customer relationship management, overseeing project approvals, and ensuring compliance with contract terms. The manager will analyze customer order activity, forecast revenue, and manage HR activities for the Customer Service and Sales Engineer team. The position requires a hands-on approach and a commitment to customer care excellence, with a focus on collaboration and relationship-building.

Responsibilities

  • Lead teams of new business pricing/quoting and customer service.
  • Create best practices in customer relationship management.
  • Oversee the initial screening and project approval for customer inquiries and quotes for new product opportunities and requotes.
  • Assure contract terms for products and services meet both customer and company requirements to win or retain business.
  • Coordinate the approval of amendments and/or contract extensions.
  • Advise appropriate personnel of domestic and international contractual rights and obligations.
  • Identify and implement improved new business quoting processes.
  • Oversee the analysis of customer order activity and participate in revenue forecasts for key customer accounts.
  • Perform HR-related activities for the Customer Service and Sales Engineer team, including hiring, performance management, training, team development, coaching, and recognition.
  • Identify qualified sales opportunities with input from sales, engineering, and management.
  • Support marketing activities by attending trade shows and other marketing events.
  • Manage ISO processes related to customer inquiry, quotes, order management, forecasts, and customer feedback.
  • Serve as an internal ISO auditor and assist quality management to maintain overall Quality Management System effectiveness.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes to ensure company compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or engineering.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years' experience in a sales or customer service related area within medical device, defense, or aerospace manufacturing industry.
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year new business quoting or supply chain management experience.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven track record within Project Management.
