About the position

The Sales Operations Manager at symplr is responsible for generating actionable business insights using PowerBI and Salesforce to support sales and commercial teams. This role involves enhancing reporting capabilities, managing sales compensation processes, and contributing to strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills and experience in sales compensation administration, along with the ability to create impactful presentations for internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Administer monthly sales compensation plans using SPIFF, including annual rebuild.
  • Analyze attainment metrics to ensure accurate compensation payout and motivate sales performance.
  • Build and maintain quota models that align with company goals and sales strategies.
  • Support the annual planning process by gathering and analyzing relevant data and segmenting it for different account segments.
  • Maintain and enhance weekly sales forecasting practices, including preparing decks and excel tracking.
  • Deliver biweekly board slides comparing the finance budget with ongoing sales calls and provide detailed reporting insights.
  • Design and maintain Power BI sales reporting dashboards to visualize sales performance and trends.
  • Prepare insightful presentations for board meetings to illustrate sales productivity and key performance metrics.
  • Create engaging Town Hall slides for company-wide, sales, and commercial meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Analytics or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in sales operations, sales analytics, compensation, or a similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with Salesforce and Power BI.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Exceptional presentation skills, with experience preparing executive-level reporting and visualizations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across various teams.
  • Detail-oriented, with a proactive mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
