We are looking for a Sales & Operations Planning Manager to join our team and support the Natural Ingredients business in Turlock, California. The S&OP Manager will lead and execute Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) activities for the Group's Natural Ingredients product lines. The purpose of this role is to align production resources across three facilities to optimize customer service levels, profitability, and resource utilization. The S&OP Manager will work closely with the General Manager, Director of Sales, and Director of Operations to establish priorities and ensure proper execution. This role will also design and improve systems and tools to facilitate modeling for demand planning and resource utilization. You'll collaborate closely with the sales leadership to develop accurate demand plans while supporting the optimization of supply and inventory plans. In this role, you will develop and lead the S&OP process to optimize the value chain relationships across company functions to deliver value and provide transparency to the business unit. You will coordinate and facilitate the monthly S&OP meetings to achieve the demand plan consensus, including strategic, product, sales, and marketing activities, as well as supply plan balance and constraints/gaps. Providing leadership for the plant scheduling team is also a key responsibility. You will monitor the demand plan performance to allocate and optimize production resources and manage S&OP activities that provide analysis which drives business decisions relative to improving service level, profitability, efficiency, and customer service via streamlining processes and cost savings projects (Continuous Improvement). Additionally, you will identify gaps to supply and demand alignment, leading teams to identify scenarios to mitigate and prepare recommendations for senior leadership review. Measuring, controlling, and improving S&OP plan accuracy through clearly defined metrics will be essential to help drive future decisions.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or relevant field.
  • MBA or master's degree in business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years' experience in Supply Chain (experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Inventory Planning in an environment of manufactured goods highly preferred).
  • APICS Certification preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of ERP system process and key system functions related to demand planning, master scheduling and inventory management.
  • In depth experience running Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
