About the position

The purpose of this role is to manage the Sales & Operations process, integrating demand, supply, and financial planning into a cohesive forward-thinking plan. This position collaborates with key functional areas such as sales, marketing, manufacturing, and finance to ensure effective planning and execution of operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for demand planning, network optimization, and capacity planning.
  • Support various projects including monthly demand plans and consumption models.
  • Participate in developing statistical models to optimize safety stocks while maintaining customer service levels.
  • Review and analyze forecast demand against actual demand to identify changes and trends.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to incorporate promotions and new product forecasts into aggregate demand.
  • Notify Supply Chain, Scheduling, and Manufacturing of significant forecast or capacity changes promptly.
  • Communicate with Manufacturing regarding promotions, new product forecasts, and launch timing updates.
  • Assist in resolving key supply-demand/service-cost issues.
  • Document assumptions, promotions, and adjustments to forecasts using input from Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Analyze and upload accurate 18-month forecasts monthly.
  • Facilitate monthly demand forecast aggregation and consensus among functions and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate, facilitate, and document regularly scheduled planning meetings.
  • Evaluate, archive, and safeguard final adjusted and unadjusted statistical forecasts.
  • Create and drive continuous improvement of demand planning and S&OP processes.
  • Measure, control, and improve S&OP plan accuracy through defined metrics.
  • Lead network optimization processes to mitigate costs and maximize service.
  • Develop capacity simulation processes for sensitivity analysis regarding growth.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or Logistics.
  • 5 years of experience in Supply Chain (Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Inventory Planning).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge of modern manufacturing and material flow improvement strategies.
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial systems and key drivers within the manufacturing environment.
  • IBF or APICS certification preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • MBA or master's degree in business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents.
  • Ability to make effective presentations on complex topics to top management.
