About the position

The Sales Operations Specialist at Big Belly Solar LLC plays a crucial role in supporting the Sales team across all business segments, both internationally and domestically. This position is designed for individuals who are adept at relationship management and are committed to enhancing customer satisfaction. The specialist will act as a Subject Matter Expert in managing the daily needs of customers and the sales team, particularly in relation to the order-to-cash process. This includes overseeing the entire sales process from pre-order activities through to order processing and post-order documentation. In this role, the Sales Operations Specialist will be responsible for issuing quotations for both hardware and software, sending out shipping information, and delegating onboarding tasks to ensure a smooth transition for new customers. The specialist will also generate sales reports, process hardware and software orders, and handle shipping damage claims. A significant part of the job involves managing sales requests and administering the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, specifically Salesforce.com. The incumbent will provide end-user support for CRM, addressing day-to-day questions regarding sales force automation and conducting training sessions for users. Additionally, the Sales Operations Specialist will work on improving data quality within the CRM system and assist in arranging international shipping, which includes managing custom documentation and coordinating manufacturer pickups. The role may also involve other duties as assigned, making it essential for the specialist to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and processes. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to driving business line results through effective process improvements and metrics management.

Responsibilities

  • Support throughout sales processes; pre-order, order processing, and post-order documents

Requirements

  • Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction through a track record of respecting and caring for customers
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing
  • Able to communicate technical information to non-technical people
  • Strong decision-making and analytical abilities
  • Technical aptitude and willingness to learn and understand various software programs and how Bigbelly hardware and software works
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently and on multiple tasks
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
  • Flexible; willing and able to change directions, priorities, and processes as needed
  • Able to work independently and as a team
  • 2+ years experience in a customer support role
  • Bachelor's degree
