About the position

The Sales Operations Specialist at Ergon, Inc. plays a crucial role in supporting global sales and marketing operations. This position is focused on driving process improvements and ensuring operational alignment across the organization. The specialist will optimize workflows, implement best practices, and provide data-driven insights to enhance overall performance. Reporting to both the Director of Business Optimization and the Senior Vice President of Global Sales, this role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and achieve business goals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee global sales processes, ensuring operational efficiency and alignment with business goals
  • Identify bottlenecks and drive process improvements to enhance workflow and operational performance
  • Track and report on sales performance metrics; optimize dashboards and reporting frameworks
  • Work with marketing, finance, IT, and sales teams to streamline operations and foster effective communication
  • Equip the sales team with the tools, processes, and training required for success
  • Ensure data accuracy across platforms and adherence to global standards and compliance policies
  • Promote the use of automation tools and software to enhance operations
  • Provide actionable insights to support the development of sales and marketing strategies

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Process Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in sales operations, process optimization, or similar roles
  • Strong change-management skills, with the ability to drive initiatives without formal authority
  • Proven ability to integrate financial, operational, and strategic business aspects
  • Excellent multitasking abilities with flexibility to manage evolving priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and collaborate across organizational levels
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of experience in sales operations, process optimization, or similar roles
  • MBA
  • Experience in oil and gas refining or base oil industry
