About the position

The Sales Planning Analyst position at Amazon Web Services (AWS) focuses on creating business insights and developing strategies to support the growth of the World Wide Public Sector Org sales organization. This role involves analyzing performance data, leading recommendations for senior leadership, and tracking progress through implementation. The analyst will serve as a liaison between various teams, automate reporting processes, and continuously improve metrics and dashboards to enhance performance visibility.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze performance data to identify trends and opportunities that translate into business insights for the sales organization.
  • Serve as liaison between Sales, Operations, and Service teams to identify focus areas and improve visibility into the sales pipeline.
  • Establish timelines, project plans, and expectations across various stakeholders.
  • Automate and streamline reporting and performance updates through regular communications with business and goal owners.
  • Communicate in written and verbal form to senior leadership and technical counterparts.
  • Lead analytical projects focused on deep insights that enable goal and performance management decisions.
  • Capture and structure data to meet reporting needs across the organization.
  • Continuously improve processes to create metrics, reports, and dashboards that display performance.
  • Be the 'source of truth' for each team's performance and progress tracking.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Microsoft Excel experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
  • Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent

Nice-to-haves

  • 5+ years of finance, business management and sales operations experience
