About the position

The Sales Planning & Operations Manager for Retirement at Paychex is responsible for leading the planning and execution of strategic initiatives within the Retirement Sales division. This role involves managing key divisional sales initiatives, driving performance against established KPIs, and collaborating with various internal teams to optimize sales processes and outcomes. The manager will consult with senior leadership to enhance sales methodologies and ensure compliance with corporate practices.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate a collaborative functional matrix team to execute on divisional key sales initiatives and strategies.
  • Analyze KPIs on key sales execution initiatives to measure performance and identify areas of opportunity.
  • Consult with senior leadership on measures to drive performance through improved sales processes and compensation enhancements.
  • Provide guidance for strategy planning through assessment of sales methodologies and competitive intelligence.
  • Optimize sales coverage and distribution through territory assessment and growth forecasting.
  • Partner with HROD for talent acquisition and retention through compensation and training programs.
  • Consult on policy improvements and best practices aligned with Paychex values.
  • Inspect and enforce sales policy and performance conditions.
  • Collaborate with internal partners to build business cases for recommended changes.
  • Explore operational excellence tools with Sales Enablement to optimize business processes.
  • Monitor sales activities to ensure compliance with corporate practices.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in sales processes and procedures.
  • Conduct DSM round tables and best practices discussions.
  • Analyze districts to identify trends and areas of opportunity in DSM management operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree - Preferred
  • 3 years of experience in Retirement sales/management with knowledge of Human Capital Management offerings.
  • 1 year of experience in leading a matrix team and/or project management.
  • Demonstrated high prioritization skills.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $90,000 - $125,000 based on experience and location.
