About the position

The Sales Project Engineer at Rotex Global, LLC is responsible for selling industrial processing equipment across assigned global territories and market segments. This role involves analyzing market conditions, promoting product lines, and implementing strategies to meet sales goals. The position requires collaboration with the Aftermarket Sales Department and participation in continuous improvement activities to enhance market share and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Sell equipment in assigned territories and market segments globally.
  • Analyze customer needs and select suitable equipment based on research and laboratory testing.
  • Develop and implement action plans to protect/build market share.
  • Assist in sales forecasting and support the Sales Manager in marketing plan development.
  • Promote and sell aftermarket parts and manage order entry and shipment of machine orders.
  • Arrange domestic/international travel to support selling and marketing activities.
  • Assist customers and sales representatives in resolving field application problems.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities and develop action plans for the Company's Business Plan.
  • Assist in training and evaluation of sales representatives.
  • Prepare budget recommendations and adhere to authorized budgets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of industrial sales experience.
  • Working knowledge of ERP software.
  • Ability to travel within North America 25-50% of the time.

Nice-to-haves

  • Strong mechanical knowledge.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Great Plains ERP.
