About the position

That 1 Painter is seeking a Sales/Project Manager to oversee customer satisfaction, estimate job costs, and achieve sales goals in the residential painting sector. This role involves direct interaction with clients, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong sales background and a passion for exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Estimating job costs in person and on-site with prospects daily.
  • Recruiting and managing subcontractors (Painting Crews).
  • Accurately estimating labor/materials and submitting quotes within 24 hours.
  • Following up with all quotes seven times within six months or until approved/rejected.
  • Scheduling approved estimates according to management's process.
  • Collecting deposits before the start of each job.
  • Upselling clients on additional services.
  • Communicating with customers regarding colors, sheens, and preparations before jobs start.
  • Ensuring all jobs are appropriately staffed and projects are kept on schedule and within budget.
  • Problem-solving with Crew Leads if issues arise on any project.
  • Working with the office to ensure timely ordering of paint/supplies.
  • Attending home shows, trade events, and networking opportunities as a representative of That 1 Painter.
  • Developing a referral network to generate leads and utilizing T1P processes for lead generation.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience in Sales or Project Management.
  • Exceptional customer service experience.
  • Polished and professional demeanor.
  • Strong sales acumen and self-motivated.
  • Open and honest communicator, accountable and passionate.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Ability to establish and maintain rapport with clients and subcontractors.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize duties while maintaining organization.
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and reliable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in using a personal computer and software programs.

Nice-to-haves

  • House Call Pro experience (will train).
  • Experience generating own leads via strategic relationships.
