About the position
The Sales Proposal Switchgear Engineer will play a crucial role in driving business growth for a private equity-backed manufacturer specializing in quick-ship and custom switchgear solutions. This position involves analyzing quotation opportunities, estimating project costs, and preparing comprehensive customer proposals to meet client needs effectively.
Responsibilities
- Respond swiftly to customer quotation inquiries
- Quickly assess client challenges and offer technical solutions using electrical expertise
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to develop tailored solutions that address customer needs while evaluating project risks, profitability, scope, and timelines
- Position the company as the go-to consultant and problem-solver for clients
Requirements
- BA or BS with 2+ years of electrical power industry experience, or Associate Degree with 4+ years of experience, or HS diploma with 10+ years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of switchboards, switchgear, electrical distribution systems, electrical/mechanical principles, control wiring, and schematics
