About the position

The Sales Representative role at Volt involves developing and implementing effective sales strategies to drive growth in the assigned area. The position requires identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with clients, and achieving sales targets while collaborating with the marketing team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to drive sales growth in the assigned area.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research and networking.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Conduct regular sales visits to clients to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver sales presentations and proposals to clients.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and objectives.
  • Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to management.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Attend industry events and trade shows to represent the company and generate leads.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Business field preferred.
  • 2+ years of sales experience is preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% including overnight travel.
  • Demonstrated experience selling in the industrial food and beverage industry.
  • Strong understanding of food plant sanitation protocols.
  • Familiar with SQF or BRC is helpful but not necessary.
  • Proven effectiveness in prospecting, closing new projects, and delivering effective presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage long-term customer relationships.
  • High achievement orientation; driven to perform and grow.
  • Strong consultation, negotiation, problem-resolution, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to understand new product lines and utilize knowledge to fulfill customer needs.
  • Professionally developed sales and territory management skills.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to perform technical/mechanical on-site testing.
