About the position

The Sales Representative (Bilingual Mandarin/Cantonese) at Spectrum is responsible for selling products and services to customers in assigned multi-dwelling units through door-to-door solicitation and lobby events. This role focuses on enhancing the customer experience, meeting sales goals, and generating revenue from both new and existing customers. The representative will also handle customer complaints, maintain knowledge of competitors, and participate in sales meetings and training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Sell products and services to customers in assigned non-bulk multi-dwelling units through door-to-door solicitation and lobby events.
  • Support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Meet established objectives relative to monthly sales goals and increased sales volume.
  • Solicit residential customers through door-to-door solicitation and lobby events.
  • Generate incremental revenue from existing customers by adding new services.
  • Respond to customer problems and complaints according to company policy.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors' activities and inform management of changes.
  • Attend and contribute to sales meetings and training programs.
  • Complete necessary paperwork to support sales activities accurately.
  • Collect and account for funds and provide receipts according to company policy.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of cold call sales skills and persuasion techniques.
  • Clear communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to assigned territories using a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Ability to work outside for extended periods in any season and during inclement weather.
  • Familiarity with computer operating systems and consumer communication devices.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, especially data networking fundamentals.
  • Experience with consumer education of products and services.
  • Success in a previous sales position, prospecting, or cold calling.
