About the position

Crown Equipment Corporation, one of the world's largest lift truck manufacturers, is seeking a Sales Representative/Business Development Representative for a B2B entry-level position in Long Beach, CA. This role is designed for individuals looking to develop their careers in sales, with the primary objective of progressing into positions such as Account Representative, Aftermarket Sales Representative, or Account Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling select products within a designated geographical territory and/or assigned accounts. This position may involve working collaboratively with other sales team members to manage territories effectively and communicate with clients. The Sales Representative will engage in various sales activities, including making sales calls to qualify prospects both in person and over the phone, generating leads, and participating in corporate and local campaigns. The role also includes involvement in information gathering efforts and tracking leads and inquiries. Training will be provided locally, in the field, and occasionally at the corporate headquarters in New Bremen, Ohio. The candidate will also collaborate with various departments within the branch to ensure customer satisfaction and effective service delivery. This entry-level position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with a preference for candidates holding a bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, or a related field. Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills are essential, along with problem-solving capabilities and a self-motivated attitude. Intermediate computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite, are also required. A valid driver's license and a good driving record are necessary for operating lift trucks during product demonstrations.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, entrepreneurship, professional selling, or related business program is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and a sense of responsibility.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Intermediate computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record.
