About the position

Crown Equipment Corporation is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Representative/Business Development Representative for our B2B segment. This entry-level position is designed for individuals looking to develop their careers in sales, with the primary objective of advancing into roles such as Account Representative, Aftermarket Sales Representative, Account Manager, or other commissioned sales positions. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling select products within a designated geographical territory and/or assigned accounts, contributing to the overall success of the sales team and the company. In this role, you will engage in a variety of sales activities, including making sales calls to qualify prospects both in person and over the telephone. You will generate leads and participate in information gathering efforts, tracking and following up on leads and inquiries. Collaboration with various departments within the branch is essential, as is participation in corporate and local campaigns aimed at enhancing sales performance. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to participate in training activities locally, in the field, and occasionally at our corporate headquarters in New Bremen, Ohio. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. As you develop your skills and knowledge, you will play a crucial role in helping our customers find the right material handling solutions to meet their needs anytime, anywhere. Responsibilities

  • Sell select products in a geographical territory and/or assigned accounts.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, entrepreneurship, professional selling, or related business program is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and a strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Intermediate computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record; ability to safely operate lift trucks for product demos.
