About the position

The Sales Representative/Customer Service role is designed for a proactive and motivated individual who will establish and maintain a customer base to promote and solicit new and ongoing sales. The position involves direct communication with customers, lead generation, and sales presentations, with the goal of increasing annual sales through effective relationship building and customer service.

Responsibilities

  • Understand customers' needs and preferences, and communicate how our products and services can help them.
  • Identify potential customers and market opportunities to develop sales leads.
  • Create and deliver sales presentations and print materials to convert sales leads to customers.
  • Provide samples, take orders, resolve potential customer complaints and concerns, and follow up for reorders.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports to support sales plan development.
  • Work diligently to meet weekly or monthly sales goals.
  • Attend industry conferences and expositions to learn about food industry trends either in person or virtually.
  • Build relationships and trust with customers, and maintain contact lists and record summary of contacts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years related experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with customers.
  • Passion for sales.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Ability to handle stress and short timelines.
