About the position

The Sales Representative for Frames is responsible for achieving sales targets and driving growth by providing exceptional service to customers in the optical industry. This role involves regular customer visits, executing brand strategies, and maintaining high standards for distribution and merchandising. The representative will cultivate relationships with existing customers while also prospecting for new opportunities, ensuring brand visibility and effective communication of brand messaging.

Responsibilities

  • Achieves monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for brand collections.
  • Develops and adheres to an effective call plan for customer visits.
  • Regularly visits customers to ensure brand visual merchandising and refreshes POP materials.
  • Utilizes reports and training to manage customer relationships and enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Proactively manages distribution in the territory based on brand guidelines.
  • Builds strong working relationships within the practices and businesses managed.
  • Conducts regular customer training to reinforce brand knowledge.
  • Stays current on trends affecting the business.
  • Cultivates existing customer base and prospects for new potential in the market.
  • Submits metrics to leadership to support growth strategies.
  • Attends corporate training sessions and team meetings.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of sales experience within the optical industry (preferably frames).
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Strong presentation and professional selling skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Ability to learn and develop knowledge of the optical industry and reporting tools.
  • Strong PC skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license.
