About the position
The Sales Representative for Life Insurance at Kemper is responsible for providing insurance solutions to modest-income families through personal visits and sales presentations. This full-time field role involves managing an existing book of business while actively prospecting for new clients. The position emphasizes building strong relationships with customers and fulfilling their insurance needs, contributing to the community by helping clients protect their loved ones and assets.
Responsibilities
- Conducting sales presentations, recommending products, closing sales, and using the Customer Care Sales Model.
- Continuously prospecting for sales opportunities.
- Collecting premiums from policyholders based on a pre-arranged schedule.
- Responding promptly to policyholder service requests such as beneficiary changes, claims, loans, etc.
- Keeping accurate records, accounting for money collected, and processing paperwork.
- Increasing the agency size and building strong working relationships with customers.
- Devoting necessary time to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
- Committing to ongoing development of knowledge and skills.
Requirements
- Customer service experience.
- Ability to visit customers and prospects door-to-door.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Valid driver's license with 100k/300k auto insurance coverage.
- Dependable vehicle as daily travel is required.
- Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report check, and drug screening.
- Authorized to work in the United States.
