About the position

As a Life Insurance Sales Agent at Kemper, you will play a crucial role in servicing the insurance needs of modest-income families. This full-time field role involves conducting sales presentations, building relationships with customers, and managing an established book of business. You will have the opportunity to grow your income through a pay-for-performance model while making a meaningful impact in your community.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting sales presentations and recommending products to potential clients.
  • Closing sales and utilizing the Customer Care Sales Model effectively.
  • Continuously prospecting for new sales opportunities.
  • Collecting premiums from policyholders according to a pre-arranged schedule.
  • Responding promptly to policyholder service requests such as beneficiary changes, claims, and loans.
  • Maintaining accurate records and accounting for money collected, as well as processing necessary paperwork.
  • Increasing the agency size and building strong working relationships with customers.
  • Devoting necessary time to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.
  • Committing to ongoing development of knowledge and skills.

Requirements

  • Customer service experience is required.
  • Ability to visit customers and prospects door-to-door.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver's license with 100k/300k auto insurance coverage is necessary.
  • Dependable vehicle is required as daily travel is part of the job.
  • Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle report check, and drug screening.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in sales or insurance industry is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
