About the position

As a Sales Representative in Property Development, you will play a crucial role in initiating and managing relationships with customers, serving as the primary point of contact for the company. Your primary responsibility will be to grow sales within the multi-family market segment, focusing on products that are essential for the ongoing maintenance of properties. This position requires you to secure new accounts while also maintaining and nurturing existing customer relationships. You will utilize professional selling tools to plan your calls effectively and document your sales interactions, ensuring that you are well-prepared for each engagement. In addition to relationship management, you will be tasked with developing a comprehensive territory market strategy. This includes conducting product demonstrations and competitive product comparisons to showcase the value of our offerings. Your ability to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions will be key to your success in this role. You will also be responsible for generating leads, determining pricing schedules for quotes and promotions, and preparing weekly and monthly sales reports as required. Your role will involve giving sales presentations to a diverse range of prospective clients, coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs, and promoting company initiatives. You will prepare and submit sales contracts for orders, visit clients and potential clients to assess their needs, and maintain accurate client records. Additionally, you will be expected to answer client inquiries regarding terms, products, prices, and availability, ensuring a high level of customer service throughout the sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a strategy to grow sales and profits to key, opportunity, new and existing customers
  • Effectively build relationships with customers by understanding and supporting their business

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License
  • Must have at least a High School diploma or GED
  • Must have at least one (1) year experience working in a retail, sales, or customer service position
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion

Nice-to-haves

  • Have at least one (1) year of work experience as an Assistant Store or Branch Operations Manager for Sherwin-Williams
  • Have previous work experience conducting outside sales calls
  • Have at least an associate degree in business, sales, or marketing
  • Have previous work experience selling paint and paint related products
  • Have work experience using timekeeping and/or customer relationship management (CRM) systems
  • Willingness to relocate for future job opportunities
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish
