About the position

Brainlab, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and results-driven Sales Representative for the RadOnc Area Sales Manager position. This role is pivotal in promoting and selling our Radiotherapy product line within the designated region, which can be based in Houston, Austin, or New Orleans. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing creative strategies to close sales, addressing all buying influences, and maintaining a comprehensive market uncovering and customer database using salesforce.com. Daily communication with the Regional Director regarding territory activity, including new buying influences, approved budgets, and closed business, is essential. The Sales Representative will work closely with Surgery counterparts to devise innovative strategies for engaging with neurosurgeons and other key stakeholders. This includes maintaining contact with influential contacts at qualified accounts through various means such as visits, follow-up letters, phone calls, and brochures. Conducting comprehensive product presentations to support the decision-making process and arranging site visits or in-house visits at Brainlab are also key responsibilities. The role encompasses managing the complete sales cycle, from product presentations and evaluations to closing deals, negotiating contracts, and providing after-sale support. Additionally, the Sales Representative will be tasked with developing a creative 12-month sales strategy aligned with Brainlab's corporate strategy, conducting accurate sales forecasts, and preparing necessary documents for tenders. The position requires a high degree of knowledge through continuous self-training and maintaining a professional image of Brainlab with customers, competitors, and colleagues. Attending medical shows to identify potential customers and maintain relationships with existing clients is also part of the role. This position is ideal for a self-motivated individual with a proven track record in sales, particularly in the medical or software industry, who is comfortable with extensive travel and has a strong understanding of hospital hierarchies and sales cycles.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • BA/BS preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • 1 - 2 years sales experience in the medical or software industry preferred.
  • Documented success as a top-tier representative in previous sales positions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a proven history of making independent decisions.
  • Previous experience communicating with surgeons and knowledge of hospital hierarchy and sales cycles.
  • Superior customer relations proficiency and experience working closely with senior management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • High comfort level with software and technology.
  • Extensive knowledge and network at C-level with major hospitals in the western U.S.
  • Ability to work with multiple departments and disciplines within a hospital.
  • Professional with high integrity, attention to detail, and preparation skills.
