About the position

The Sales Representative (RadOnc Area Sales Manager) at Brainlab, Inc. is responsible for promoting and selling Radiotherapy products across various territories. This role involves developing creative strategies to engage existing and potential accounts, managing the complete sales cycle, and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders in the medical field. The position requires a proactive approach to sales, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively with surgical counterparts to drive business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell Radiotherapy products to existing and potential accounts.
  • Develop creative strategies to address all buying influencers in the sales process.
  • Translate training and education into successful sales of Radiotherapy products.
  • Communicate daily territory activity to the Regional Director, including new buying influences and closed business.
  • Maintain a complete and consistent market transparency and customer database using salesforce.com.
  • Work with Surgery counterparts to develop strategies for engaging neurosurgeons.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle, including product presentations, contract negotiations, and after-sale support.
  • Conduct site visits and in-house visits at Brainlab to strengthen customer relationships.
  • Prepare necessary documents for tenders, including quotes and technical responses.
  • Develop a regular pattern of contacting customers to stay informed about account statuses.
  • Leverage existing client relationships to influence other accounts and promote upgrades.
  • Share account information with colleagues to stimulate cross-selling opportunities.
  • Conduct accurate sales forecasts and provide data for annual budget planning.
  • Develop a creative 12-month sales strategy aligned with Brainlab's corporate strategy.
  • Maintain a high degree of knowledge through continuous self-training and professional development.
  • Attend medical shows to identify potential customers and maintain existing relationships.

Requirements

  • BA/BS preferred or equivalent experience.
  • 1-2 years of sales experience in the medical or software industry preferred.
  • Documented success as a top-tier sales representative in previous positions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with a proven history of independent decision-making.
  • Previous experience communicating with surgeons and understanding hospital hierarchy and sales cycles.
  • Superior customer relations proficiency and experience working closely with senior management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • High comfort level with software and technology.
  • Extensive knowledge and network at C-level with major hospitals in the western U.S.
  • Ability to work with multiple departments and disciplines within a hospital.
