About the position

The Sales Representative at Publishers Storage and Shipping (PSSC) is responsible for generating sales revenue by targeting publishers across the country. This role involves building and managing a pipeline of sales opportunities, developing strategic plans to increase revenue, and maintaining relationships with existing and potential customers. The Sales Representative will report directly to the VP/Sales and will play a crucial role in expanding the company's customer base within the publishing industry.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a pipeline of sales opportunities through a multi-touch method of nurturing existing leads.
  • Develop strategic and tactical plans to increase revenue and profitability within the publishing segment.
  • Participate in and develop short-term and long-term sales plans to meet or exceed management-approved sales targets.
  • Assist with content development for sales including customer success stories and service comparisons.
  • Handle customer inquiries and complaints.
  • Conduct market research to identify new business development opportunities.
  • Facilitate and assist with Job Quotes and Sales Orders.
  • Provide information about services as needed.
  • Establish, develop and maintain relationships/partnerships with customers.
  • Explore print, bind and fulfillment opportunities with sister company.
  • Learn the capabilities of the services offered and communicate effectively with customers.

Requirements

  • 2+ years' experience working with established publishing businesses preferred.
  • Proficient with computer software programs including MS Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Experience with a CRM tool preferred.
  • Strong skills in all forms of communication, customer service, and sales.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field desired or equivalent sales experience required.
