About the position

The position involves managing customer relationships in a team-based selling model while covering for other Territory Managers. This includes managing deliveries according to the routing schedule provided by the transportation department and troubleshooting any issues that arise during the order process, such as delivery mis-picks, short loads, or stock-outs. The role also requires the collection of accounts receivable, working closely with the credit department to ensure all balances due are collected based on approved credit terms. In addition to managing existing accounts, the position emphasizes the importance of developing new business. This involves identifying prospective customers through market intelligence databases, business directories, and leads from existing clients. Participation in organizations, clubs, trade shows, and conferences is also encouraged to expand the customer base.
