About the position

The Sales Representative at Air Cost Control, a subsidiary of HEICO Corporation, is responsible for driving sales by making competitive business proposals, managing customer relationships, and sourcing products to meet customer needs. This role requires strong communication and negotiation skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Sales Representative will also participate in team meetings and provide technical support as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Makes business proposals which are competitive and clear, ensuring that quotes meet customer requirements.
  • Handles all quotes from customers on the customer list and takes requests for non-attributed customers from the Sales Manager.
  • Sources products and finds solutions for customers from suppliers on a rush basis to ensure quick offers are sent to customers.
  • Manages customer list by keeping in touch with buyers to maximize opportunities for A2C.
  • Maintains an effective follow-up process to ensure opportunities are captured.
  • Participates in regular weekly and monthly team meetings and shares information about upcoming projects to convert into sales.
  • Accepts overflow work from the Sales Manager as needed.
  • Provides low-level technical support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or 5 years of sales experience.
  • Experience in avionics, connectors, or electrical component distribution is strongly desired, which can be derived from a manufacturing or distributor employer.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards and a positive professional image.
  • Ability to be flexible and function comfortably in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical documents.
  • Ability to write reports and general business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and employees.
  • Ability to establish relations with a wide range of personalities, cultural backgrounds, and educational levels.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as percentages, ratios, and proportions in job-related situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
