About the position

The Direct Sales Representative at Summit Business Group is responsible for establishing connections with business owners and key decision-makers at small and medium-sized businesses through in-person sales calls. This role emphasizes building strong client relationships, delivering product presentations, and providing exceptional customer service. The representative will have the flexibility to plan their own work schedule while focusing on cold calling and maintaining client communication throughout the sales process.

Responsibilities

  • Establish connections with business owners and key decision-makers through in-person sales calls.
  • Cold call businesses to generate leads and close sales.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication via calls, texts, and emails.
  • Respond to client inquiries and provide guidance throughout the claims process.
  • Proactively check in with clients to enhance their insurance coverage and ensure their well-being.
  • Deliver compelling product presentations to potential clients.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience in sales or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Experience in an outside sales position is a plus.
  • Door-to-door sales or business-to-business experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage the full training cycle, including in-person activities and web-based learning.
  • Hands-on experience with e-learning platforms.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Health & Life general lines license or willingness to obtain within 90 days of job offer.
  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 4 years of professional (post-high school) work experience.
