About the position

The Sales Representative at Route One Trailers is responsible for engaging new clients and boosting sales of semi-trailers, tarping systems, cargo equipment, and parts. This role involves direct interaction with customers through calls, emails, and in-person visits, with a focus on providing exceptional service and understanding client needs.

Responsibilities

• Sell 80-100 Trailers/year and Conestoga kits.
• Handle marketing posts on various platforms (i.e., Truckpaper, Facebook).
• Write customer orders and sales contracts.
• Listen to and resolve customers' complaints regarding products and services.
• Coordinate sales with other departments to work toward a common goal.
• Engage in conversations with decision-makers to understand their needs and pain points.
• Present the benefits and value proposition of the products or services being offered.
• Help customers apply for credit.
• Call on prospective customers to explain company services or to solicit new business.
• Schedule meetings or appointments with interested prospects and visit customers at their location.
• Customer merchandising and program implementation.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions and outcomes in a CRM system.

Requirements

• 1-2 years minimum experience in sales in heavy industry or 3 years minimum in direct sales.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Persuasive and convincing abilities to influence decision-makers.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and follow-up activities.
• Resilience and persistence to handle rejection and maintain motivation.
• Knowledge of the products or services being offered and the ability to articulate their value.
• Familiarity with CRM systems and other sales tools for tracking and managing leads.
• Advanced selling and sourcing new client skills.
• Bilingual in Russian or Romanian.
