About the position

The Sales Representative role involves selling products and services to customers in assigned non-bulk multi-dwelling units (MDUs) through door-to-door solicitation and lobby events. The position focuses on enhancing the customer experience, meeting sales goals, and generating revenue from existing customers by introducing additional services. The representative is expected to maintain a strong knowledge of competitors and contribute to sales meetings and training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Actively support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Meet established objectives for monthly sales goals and increased sales volume.
  • Solicit residential customers through door-to-door solicitation and lobby events.
  • Generate incremental revenue from existing customers by adding new services.
  • Respond to customer problems and complaints according to company policy.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors' activities and inform management of changes.
  • Attend and contribute to sales meetings and training programs.
  • Complete necessary paperwork to support sales activities accurately.
  • Collect and account for funds and provide receipts according to company policy.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of cold call sales skills and persuasion techniques.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to assigned territories using a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Ability to work outside for extended periods in any season.
  • Familiarity with computer operating systems and various communication devices.
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • 0 to 6 months of experience in sales or customer service.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge of communications technologies and services, especially data networking fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of cable or telecommunications services.
  • Experience with consumer education of products and services.
  • Success in a previous sales position, prospecting, or cold calling.
