About the position

The Sales Representative at Brady Industries is responsible for developing the BradyPLUS segment through solution selling, customer education, and product expertise. This role involves following up on leads, identifying key markets, and utilizing the company's sales process to drive growth in various commercial sectors such as hospitality, education, and healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Prospect and qualify new leads.
  • Develop key relationships and identify customer concerns.
  • Coordinate with the Sales Manager to support corporate programs focused on chemicals, paper, and janitorial segments.
  • Develop and implement sales plans for Hospitality, Industrial, Health Care, and Foodservice industries.
  • Set sales and gross margin goals for the territory and implement sales programs.
  • Understand the full life cycle sales process and take a proactive approach to hunting, qualifying, presenting, closing, and following up on business.
  • Maximize industry knowledge to assist customers in navigating alternatives and avoiding pitfalls.
  • Follow up on new leads and referrals from field activities.
  • Develop and maintain sales materials and current product knowledge.
  • Prepare sales presentations, proposals, contracts, and reports.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers to expand market share for promoted products.
  • Work with marketing on sales-related materials.
  • Identify and resolve client concerns.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required; college degree in sales/marketing or business preferred.
  • 2-5 years of related sales experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and at least one year of driving experience.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of driving and reliable transportation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in solution selling and customer education.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems.
