About the position
The Direct Sales Representative at Summit Business Group is responsible for establishing connections with business owners and decision-makers at small and medium-sized businesses through in-person sales calls. This role emphasizes building strong client relationships, delivering product presentations, and closing sales while providing exceptional customer service. The position offers flexibility in scheduling and requires a proactive approach to client engagement and insurance solutions.
Responsibilities
- Establish connections with business owners and key decision-makers through in-person sales calls.
- Cold call businesses to generate leads and close sales.
- Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and follow-ups.
- Respond to client inquiries via calls, texts, and emails.
- Provide guidance throughout the claims process to ensure a seamless experience for clients.
- Proactively check in with clients to enhance their insurance coverage based on individual needs.
Requirements
- Proven work experience in sales or a similar customer-facing role.
- Experience in an outside sales position is a plus.
- Door-to-door sales or business-to-business experience preferred.
- Ability to manage the full training cycle, including in-person activities and web-based learning.
- Hands-on experience with e-learning platforms.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Health & Life general lines license or willingness to obtain within 90 days of job offer.
- Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 4 years of professional work experience.
