About the position

MasterPlumber is seeking a Sales Technician to join our team in Sacramento, CA. This full-time position involves engaging with customers to understand their technical needs and providing appropriate product solutions. The Sales Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining customer relationships and ensuring sales targets are met while educating clients about our plumbing services.

Responsibilities

  • Establishing the technical needs of the customer and suggesting appropriate products.
  • Explaining complex technical information to customers in a way that is easily understandable.
  • Following up with customers and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Keeping customers informed about new technological products.
  • Compiling proposals and reports related to technical products.
  • Ensuring that sales targets are consistently met.
  • Reporting to management about sales made.
  • Updating records of customer communications and contact information.
  • Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers.
  • Conducting face-to-face meetings with customers daily.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with new and repeat customers.
  • Maintaining records of all customer accounts.
  • Educating customers on how our services can benefit them financially and professionally.
  • Selling the company's services to customers within your given territory.
  • Monitoring the company's industry competitors, new products, and market conditions to understand a customer's specific needs.
  • Working closely with the marketing department to help build the brand.

Requirements

  • Strong negotiation and customer service skills.
  • Proven track record in sales, especially in B2B environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and fluently in multiple languages.
  • Experience in outside sales and account management.
  • Proficiency in using sales tools like Salesforce.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets.
  • Technical sales experience and understanding of technology products.
  • Analytical skills for sales data interpretation and strategy development.
