About the position

The Direct Sales Representative at Summit Business Group is responsible for establishing connections with business owners and decision-makers at small and medium-sized businesses through in-person sales calls. This role emphasizes building strong client relationships, delivering product presentations, and providing exceptional customer service. The position offers flexibility in work hours and requires proactive engagement with clients to enhance their insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and manage your own work schedule and set working hours each week.
  • Establish connections with business owners and key decision-makers through in-person sales calls.
  • Cold call businesses to generate leads and close sales.
  • Utilize Custom Salesforce CRM for managing client interactions and sales processes.
  • Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and support during the claims process.
  • Proactively check in with clients to ensure their needs are met and identify opportunities for additional coverage.

Requirements

  • Proven work experience in sales or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Experience in an outside sales position is a plus.
  • Door-to-door sales or business-to-business experience preferred.
  • Ability to manage the full training cycle, including in-person activities and web-based learning.
  • Hands-on experience with e-learning platforms.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Health & Life general lines license or willingness to obtain within 90 days of job offer.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree or a minimum of 4 years of professional (post-high school) work experience.
  • Candidates within 6 months or less of degree completion will be considered.
  • Valid Driver's License.
