About the position

The Sales Representative at Northern Tool + Equipment is responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a retail environment. This role involves greeting customers, assisting with product selection, maintaining an organized sales floor, and promoting store programs such as the Northern Tool credit card and extended service protection plans. The representative plays a key role in creating a positive shopping experience and supporting the management team with daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers throughout the store.
• Maintain a neat and organized sales floor with stocked merchandise.
• Promote the Northern Tool credit card program and extended service protection plans.
• Assist with merchandising aisles and endcaps, positioning merchandise appropriately.
• Collaborate with team members to improve customer service and store operations.

Requirements

• Customer service experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Flexible availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior retail sales or cashier experience admired.
• A love of tools and equipment or willingness to learn.
