About the position

The Sales Representative at Kruger is responsible for prospecting and developing new business in an assigned territory, focusing on selling corrugated products. This role emphasizes a consultative sales approach, relationship building, and collaboration with technical and manufacturing teams to meet customer expectations. The position requires active participation in Kruger's lightweight sales strategy and involves managing accounts, negotiating contracts, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Keeping an updated and accurate list of prospects and accounts (sales funnel).
  • Growing Kruger's market share within existing and new customer accounts.
  • Providing solutions to customers and prospects by focusing on opportunities.
  • Analyzing and qualifying prospective accounts.
  • Conducting initial contact and subsequent sales calls to establish relationships for repeat business.
  • Managing overall account responsibilities including recordkeeping, credit applications, forecasts, budgets, and collections.
  • Assisting in negotiation and renewal of sales contracts with clients.
  • Liaising with plant production and quality teams to handle complaints and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maximizing selling prices while respecting production costs compared to competitors.
  • Producing weekly/monthly follow-up reports on customer visits and complaints.
  • Collaborating with technical representatives to satisfy customer needs.
  • Performing any other tasks assigned by the Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in management or marketing or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of experience in the sale of corrugated packaging products.
  • Strong work ethic with high levels of motivation and willingness.
  • Knowledge of the IN/KY/TN corrugated box market.
  • Greenfield plant sales start-up expertise is an asset.
