About the position

The Sales Section Manager at Tokai Rika Group is responsible for managing the sales promotion of TRAM products to major automotive clients, including Subaru, Nissan, and Mazda. This role involves leading a sales team to develop competitive bids, ensuring customer satisfaction, and mentoring account representatives. The position requires strategic execution of departmental goals, effective communication with management and associates, and oversight of the sales process to enhance business growth.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the management and sales promotion of TRAM products to Subaru, Nissan, and Mazda.
  • Lead the sales team in developing competitive bids for new or modified products.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction by meeting customer requirements.
  • Advise, train, counsel, mentor, and lead Account Representatives and Customer Service Representatives.
  • Execute the departmental strategy developed by Management and Executive staff.
  • Establish effective systems and procedures to standardize departmental work.
  • Keep management informed of new developments within the department.
  • Develop and implement departmental policies and communicate guidelines to associates.
  • Interview and make hiring decisions for open positions.
  • Evaluate performance and engage in corrective discipline of direct reports.
  • Mentor and recommend training for direct reports to promote professional growth.
  • Provide input for the departmental budget based on anticipated needs.
  • Analyze customer information about future projects and maintain effective communication with customers and suppliers.
  • Act as the voice of the customer to resolve quality, delivery, or timing issues.
  • Lead or assist the sales team in acquiring new business and conduct negotiations with customers regarding pricing and terms.
  • Report sales activities to the Sales Management team and attend meetings for sales enhancement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of experience in sales management or related field
