In this role, you will be responsible for thoroughly examining and grading donated goods to prepare them for sale in our retail stores. You will need to process these goods efficiently to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment while adhering to our standard operating procedures. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to serve the community and support our mission. As part of our team, you will support a guest-friendly culture by greeting every guest, delivering exceptional service, and suggesting additional treasures that may interest them. You will display a professional and patient attitude, ensuring that every interaction is positive. Your attention to detail and urgency will be crucial as you transition products to the retail sales floor, execute visual merchandising strategies, and handle point-of-sale transactions accurately. You will also be expected to communicate effectively with management and peers, promote teamwork, and maintain a clean and organized work area. Safety and security practices are paramount, and you will be responsible for reporting any hazards or injuries to management. Additionally, you will be required to attend and complete all necessary training and meetings, as well as perform other duties as assigned by management.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly examine and grade donated goods for sale in retail stores.
  • Process goods efficiently to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support a guest-friendly culture by greeting every guest and delivering exceptional service.
  • Display a professional and patient attitude with guests.
  • Transition products to the retail sales floor with attention to detail and urgency.
  • Execute and maintain visual merchandising strategies.
  • Recommend and upsell merchandise during transactions.
  • Accurately handle point-of-sale transactions with guests.
  • Identify and solve problems quickly or seek management support when necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with management, peers, and guests.
  • Promote cooperation and teamwork with peers.
  • Perform work tasks according to training playbooks and work instructions.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area and retail sales floor.
  • Adhere to safety and security practices, reporting hazards and injuries to management.
  • Attend and complete all required trainings and meetings.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and sound judgment.
  • Must be 18 years or older to operate a forklift.
