About the position

We are seeking a dynamic Product Specialist to join our team, responsible for promoting and selling our products while providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will maintain expertise in Mass Spectrometry systems, engage with customers, and drive sales opportunities through the complete sales cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Remain current on Mass Spectrometry market to maintain expertise in Mass Spectrometry systems, competitors, and workflows.
  • Participate in local technical shows and mass spectrometry-related conferences.
  • Have a deep knowledge of our product portfolio to ensure we support our customers with the correct solution.
  • Serve as the mass spectrometry technical liaison between the account manager team, application team, and customers.
  • Develop and deploy unique strategies to reach customers.
  • Build customer relationships.
  • Drive opportunities through the complete sales cycle.
  • Successfully negotiate complex sales transactions.
  • Create and deliver seminars that educate and increase awareness of our solutions, ultimately leading to new customers.
  • Provide market and product feedback to R&D.
  • Use CRM and other tools as required to drive business.
  • Handle complex demands and relationships to enhance customer satisfaction while exceeding sales goals.

Requirements

  • B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other related majors.
  • 5 years of experience in Sales as a Product Specialist.
  • 2 years of experience with Mass Spectrometry (MS) systems (preferred).
  • 2 years of understanding of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical workflows (required).
  • Ability to work as a team by coordinating and communicating with internal resources.
  • Willingness to embrace new ways of connecting with customers.
  • Some knowledge of strategic selling.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Solid presentation skills.
  • Comfort with asking questions and a willingness to learn.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with LCMS and/or GCMS that provided fundamental knowledge of mass spectrometry theories, principles, and applications.
