About the position

The Sales Specialist I position at Silver Eagle Distributors LP involves utilizing proven sales techniques to achieve sales quotas on assigned routes. The role focuses on pre-selling products to off-premise accounts within a designated area, ensuring proper inventory levels and maintaining strong communication with account managers.

Responsibilities

  • Takes adequate inventory at each account to recommend product needs and maintain stocked inventory levels.
  • Restocks account inventories by moving products from back rooms to cold boxes, displays, and shelves in assigned accounts.
  • Sells displays, authorized products, packages, shelf facings, and Point of Sale materials.
  • Follows Suppliers' agreement guidelines and maintains proper code dates for all products.
  • Merchandises products, restocks, makes space adjustments, builds displays, and installs POS as agreed upon by the retailer.
  • Ensures appropriate paper P.O.S. is in accounts and ensures pricing is in place.
  • Develops and maintains good communication with managers at each account.
  • Notifies Area Sales Manager of pertinent changes in accounts, submits daily activity reports to supervisor.
  • Maintains knowledge of SED's complete and growing portfolio of Brands and Packages.
  • Strives to achieve the number one position in each account for promotional and permanent P.O.S.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Two years of directly related sales and marketing experience required.
  • Prior grocery/convenience store and/or consumer products experience is a strong plus.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Able to handle alcohol and work within T.A.B.C Guidelines.
  • Must have a dependable personal vehicle with proof of liability insurance.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge in MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and Power Point; Margin Minder and Mobility knowledge preferred.
  • Must have a cell phone with data capability.
  • Must have a valid Texas Driver's License and driving record within MVR policy guidelines.
