About the position

The TBI Sales Specialist at Abbott Laboratories is responsible for driving the successful launch and adoption of a novel traumatic brain injury (TBI) assay within assigned geographical regions. This role involves collaborating with various sales teams to establish strong business relationships in key healthcare environments, including emergency departments and urgent care clinics, to enhance patient care through innovative diagnostic solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute complex sales strategies in hospitals and outpatient facilities to address customer pain points and maximize partnerships.
  • Lead and coordinate the TBI sales process from discovery to close at assigned healthcare facilities to drive test adoption.
  • Partner with District Managers and Key Account Managers to initiate awareness and accelerate sales cycles for the TBI test.
  • Manage CRM effectively to yield data-driven strategies and accurate sales forecasts.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to educate key customer stakeholders on TBI test protocols.
  • Synthesize customer insights and market challenges to position the TBI assay for long-term success.
  • Develop customized solutions leveraging emerging technology for transformational processes.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on TBI commercial activities and coordinate with medical affairs to fulfill technical requirements.
  • Present the APOC solution to C-Suite executives to ensure comprehension of the long-term value proposition.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., biological or life sciences).
  • 7+ years of sales experience in diagnostics and medical devices or relevant leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated success in launching new technology in IVD or medical devices.
  • Ability to lead and inspire teams through influence without direct authority.
  • Strong learning agility and desire to innovate based on market feedback.
  • Proven success in strategic sales and recognized as a top performer.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and CRM (Sales Force) skills.
  • Willingness to travel 75% in assigned territory and other locations in the US.
