About the position

The Sales Specialist at Phusion Projects will play a crucial role in building and maintaining relationships with key accounts to enhance the distribution of Phusion brands. This position is focused on driving new distribution, creating impactful displays, and increasing brand visibility through strategic SKU management, pricing, and program point-of-sale (POS) materials in both independent and chain outlets. The Sales Specialist will be responsible for managing key accounts by planning, executing, and reviewing results against established goals. This role requires a proactive approach to relationship management, ensuring that sales targets are met through effective collaboration with various stakeholders. In this position, the Sales Specialist will work closely with wholesalers to execute all sales and promotional programs effectively. They will collaborate with key distributor sales representatives to maintain a strong focus on the Phusion portfolio within the assigned account base. Regular communication and leveraging selling resources, such as programming execution and sampling, will be essential to support these accounts. The Sales Specialist will also partner with the internal Phusion team, including the Area Sales Manager (ASM), Regional Manager (RM), and Key Account Managers (KAMs), to ensure alignment and successful execution at accounts. The role demands fiscal responsibility for maintaining assigned budgets and ensuring that proper merchandising standards are upheld in the market. This includes overseeing in-store programming, generic displays, and permanent POS materials. Building strong relationships with both distributors and retailers is vital to achieving sales goals. The Sales Specialist will also attend promotional events as needed to generate new sales leads and educate external partners on product updates, changes, and launches. Acting as the face of the company, the Sales Specialist will represent Phusion Projects with professionalism and integrity at all times, while also being open to special assignments as directed by management.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with key accounts to influence distribution of Phusion brands.
  • Drive new distribution and create displays to increase brand visibility.
  • Manage key accounts through planning, execution, and reviews of results against current goals.
  • Work closely with wholesalers to execute all sales and promotional programs.
  • Collaborate with key distributor sales reps to ensure focus on the Phusion portfolio at accounts.
  • Leverage selling resources to support accounts, including programming execution, sampling, and POS materials.
  • Partner with internal Phusion team (ASM, RM, KAMs) to ensure alignment and execution at accounts.
  • Maintain assigned budgets and ensure fiscal responsibility.
  • Ensure proper merchandising standards are executed in the market.
  • Build relationships with distributors and retailers to meet sales goals.
  • Attend promotional events to generate new sales leads.
  • Educate external partners on product updates, changes, and launches.
  • Act as the face of the company while working with external partners.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED, or 1-3 years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with clients and partners.
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability to changing environments.
  • Comfortable with technology and able to leverage it for sales purposes.
