Our products are essential for building and refurbishing potable and waste water systems, as well as plumbing, irrigation, electrical, industrial, and specialty piping projects. We are currently seeking a Sales Specification Engineer for the South East Region, which includes Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. This role is designed for energetic and enthusiastic engineers who are eager to work closely with our sales team, focusing on sales support through product specifications. In this position, you will interface with various departments including sales, product development, quality control, manufacturing, and technical services to ensure that Westlake Pipe & Fittings products are effectively positioned in the market. Your primary responsibilities will include promoting our products by qualifying them for use on upcoming large projects and general applications within the South East Region. You will work closely with contractors, consulting engineers, municipal engineering departments, and regional governments to ensure the correct design, specification, and application of our complete product line, particularly in the municipal and golf sectors. Additionally, you will attend and present at technical conferences and participate in industry technical committees, providing the sales team with essential technical sales support throughout the region. This role requires regular travel throughout the assigned territory, with a focus on fast-growing areas, while liaising with municipal engineering departments and consulting engineers. You will also be responsible for delivering technical presentations to municipalities and consulting engineers. This position offers a unique blend of office work and field presence, allowing you to balance empirical assignments with relationship management in a professional environment. We are looking for candidates who are graduates from a recognized Civil Engineering program and possess a P.E. license, ideally with 5-10 years of relevant experience, and a keen interest in becoming a key player in a successful, historically fast-growing sales region.
