About the position

The Analyst, Sales Strategy will work closely with cross functional teams in the development of PBB strategies, focusing on driving category & market share growth. Leveraging customer POS, syndicated data, and shopper panel insights, Analyst will evaluate and report on market, customer and brand trends to aid in the development of comprehensive strategies focused on sell-in, sell-thru and market share gains. This position works as a critical & analytical thinker, imparting knowledge of market dynamics to drive thoughtful business strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Data Analytics
  • Complete knowledge of data resources & analytics to monitor +/- to POS/share - able to identify causals and recommend action plan
  • Collaboration with Business analytics to develop reporting tools for weekly/monthly tracking of key initiatives
  • Support Line Review process through customer POS & syndicated data analysis to report performance and develop strategies for customer growth & market share gain
  • Support Innovation workstream by partnering to provide category and competitive data analytics to aid in developing size of prize of white space opportunities
  • Customer Selling Presentations
  • Ability to bolster Brand strategy with category analytics to create retailer-focused selling stories
  • Create impactful presentation slides using data visualizations i.e. charts, graphs
  • Category/Channel Understanding
  • Serve as the expert on the use of syndicated and household panel data across various categories to support the development of strategies and tactics
  • Monitor channel shifting and the associated trends reflected in the marketplace & assist in development of action plan

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (emphasis in business, marketing, finance or related field)
  • 1-3 years of experience in business-related role
  • Advanced analytical skills and computer software proficiency (e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
  • Strong familiarity with syndicated data, measures and software (e.g. NPD, IRI, Nielson, etc.)
  • Perform analysis across a wide variety of category business issues and make fact-based recommendations
  • Must be able to link data analytics to winning growth strategies
  • Critical thinking, self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to build strong sustainable business relationships with customers and customer teams
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
