About the position

The Cash Wrap Associate at Coach is responsible for providing exceptional customer service at the cash wrap, managing stockroom operations, and maintaining the sales floor. This role involves greeting customers, processing transactions accurately, and ensuring a clean and organized environment. The associate will also analyze sales needs, replenish stock, and support visual merchandising efforts while adhering to company standards and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers with a smile and maintain eye contact, offering your name.
  • Interact genuinely and naturally with customers, reading cues to determine their needs.
  • Conduct email/name capture where permitted by law.
  • Maintain accuracy when operating the POS system.
  • Keep the cash wrap organized and clean.
  • Suggest multiple add-ons and sell gift cards to customers.
  • Maintain cash and POS media accurately in compliance with Coach policy.
  • Create a lasting impression by thanking customers and providing reasons to return.
  • Receive shipments and transfers, notifying Store Management of new products.
  • Scan cartons/transfers and verify store information is correct.
  • Communicate discrepancies to Store Management.
  • Process shipments/transfers according to Coach standards and timeframes.
  • Organize and clean the stockroom daily, including offsite/remote warehouses as applicable.
  • Shift/organize product in the stockroom based on sell-through and new product arrivals.
  • Manage stock levels and product ownership in back-of-house and sales floor.
  • Prepare and conduct regular cycle counts as directed.
  • Participate in store physical inventory counts as scheduled.
  • Regularly analyze the sales floor to assess replenishment needs.
  • Replenish the sales floor and assigned zones as needed.
  • React to sell-through and execute visual merchandising needs.
  • Support sales floor activities as directed.
  • Effectively communicate information about price points, features/benefits, color, and stock availability to customers.
  • Respond to customer requests confidently, partnering with the sales team or Store Management when needed.
  • Uphold housekeeping standards.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of previous retail experience (cashier/stock experience, sales, etc.), preferably in a luxury retail service environment.
  • Current knowledge of fashion trends and competition in the marketplace.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of cash register systems and basic computer skills, including the ability to use iPad/laptop, Mobile POS, and the Internet.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
  • Ability to maneuver the sales floor, sales shelves, and stock room; climbing, bending, and kneeling are required.
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and, at times, lift and carry product/cartons up to 50 pounds.
