About the position

The Director of Sales Support at Sunny Sky Products is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the sales support organization across multiple channels. This position focuses on providing analytics, developing sales toolkits, managing trade marketing investments, and leading the inside sales team to drive growth and enhance performance. The Director will report to the VP of Sales and manage a team of 4 direct reports, contributing to the overall success of the sales function.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strong analytics on current business performance and trends across customers and categories to identify growth opportunities.
  • Support the Sales team with insights and data to improve response to positive or negative business trends.
  • Support the Monthly Performance Review process for the sales function providing sales analytics.
  • Develop best-in-class sales support toolkits (e.g., presentations, POS materials) to aid the Sales force in the selling process.
  • Utilize marketing technology (e.g., Salesforce, PIM system) to support customer requests for brand assets and enhance response speed.
  • Support the execution of the trade show calendar and agenda, a key driver of company growth.
  • Provide guidance on the efficient use of trade marketing investments in C-Store and Foodservice teams.
  • Track the execution of trade marketing investments and propose optimizations to ensure efficiency and ROI.
  • Oversee the Inside Sales team responsible for direct sales and customer service for smaller customers, primarily within the Dr. Smoothie brand.
  • Provide guidance for the future strategic role of the Inside Sales team in the growth journey and oversee the execution of that plan.
  • Foster collaboration across Sales, Marketing, and Trade Marketing teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of business strategies.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in the Food and Beverage industry, with a strong background in Sales Support or Sales Operations.
  • Proven experience leading sales support functions, including analytics, trade marketing, and sales tool development.
  • Familiarity with key marketing technologies, including Salesforce and PIM systems, with the ability to leverage these tools for customer support and sales optimization.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Ability to drive growth through the use of data and trend analysis, identifying opportunities and mitigating risks.
  • Experience supporting trade marketing investments, tracking performance, and optimizing ROI.
  • Experience in managing Inside Sales or Customer Service teams is a plus.
