About the position

The Sales Support Engineer - Interference position at Valmont is a pivotal role that drives the sales of ConcealFab interference products. This position is responsible for implementing both short- and long-range support programs aimed at existing and new customers. The role requires a proactive approach to support Regional Sales Managers (RSM) and Sales Representatives in achieving and exceeding sales targets for ConcealFab interference products within assigned territories and accounts. Frequent communication with RSMs is essential to maintain awareness and focus on ConcealFab products, ensuring that the sales team is well-informed and equipped to promote these products effectively. Building strong working relationships is a key aspect of this role, as the Sales Support Engineer will collaborate closely with RSMs, Sales Representatives, and strategic partners. Additionally, the position involves engaging with Network Operator engineering teams to understand their needs and define product requirements, ultimately driving the approval of ConcealFab products. The Sales Support Engineer will also lead efforts to develop sales channels in new territories, ensuring that ConcealFab products and services reach a broader audience. A comprehensive understanding of ConcealFab interference products and services is crucial, as the Sales Support Engineer will be responsible for educating RSMs, Sales Representatives, and external customers. This includes effectively communicating the company's value proposition through proposals and presentations, coordinating training events, and leading site trials to demonstrate product effectiveness. Representing the company at trade association meetings and events is also part of the role, promoting the products and services offered by Valmont. The position requires the preparation and delivery of reports to communicate sales support activities, ensuring transparency and alignment with sales goals.

Responsibilities

  • Support Regional Sales Managers (RSM) and Sales Representatives to hit/exceed ConcealFab interference product sales targets within assigned territories and accounts.
  • Communicate frequently with RSMs to maintain mind share for ConcealFab interference products.
  • Build strong working relationships with RSMs, Sales Representatives, and strategic partners.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Network Operator engineering teams.
  • Work with customers to define product requirements and drive approval of ConcealFab products.
  • Lead effort to develop sales channels into assigned new territories for ConcealFab products and services.
  • Maintain strong working knowledge of ConcealFab interference products and services to educate RSMs, Sales Representatives, and external customers.
  • Effectively communicate the company's value proposition through proposals and presentations.
  • Coordinate and lead training events to educate internal and external customers on ConcealFab products and RF testing processes.
  • Lead site trials to demonstrate the effectiveness of ConcealFab products and RF testing processes.
  • Represent the company at trade association meetings/events to promote products and services.
  • Prepare and deliver reports as requested to communicate sales support activities.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Seven (7) years of experience selling/supporting wireless infrastructure products.
  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, sales, marketing, or business administration.
  • Second language proficiency (Spanish preferred).
