About the position

Internships at UnitedHealth Group offer a transformative experience that can significantly shape your career. As an intern, you will gain hands-on exposure to a rapidly evolving and challenging healthcare marketplace. You will collaborate with some of the brightest minds in the industry on meaningful assignments. This full-time internship position will be available starting in June of 2025. Please note that UnitedHealth Group is unable to offer visa sponsorship for this position, and candidates must reside within a commutable distance of their assigned location.

Responsibilities

  • Support health plan sales & account management teams in their efforts to sell, renew, negotiate and service large group corporate clients
  • Collaborate with the sales & account management teams to create presentations for clients; present as needed
  • Actively engage and lead on special projects as identified throughout the internship
  • Partner and collaborate across internal teams, including product, reporting and operational resources
  • Responsible for a wide range of activities focused within our Sales & Account Management teams
  • Learn of the various departments and businesses that are within UnitedHealth Group
  • Generate reports utilizing the suite of Microsoft software solutions and other internal platforms
  • Suggest and recommend Process Improvement strategies
  • Attend both internal and external meetings as needed

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university during the duration of the internship. Internships are not intended for graduating seniors
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment-based work authorization (F-1 students with practical training and candidates requiring H-1Bs, TNs, etc. will not be considered)

Nice-to-haves

  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Sophomore level class year (June 2027 grad)/Junior level class year (June 2026 grad)
